Prison closed for a man who shot in the air to protect his escape after an accident

A man was sentenced to six months in prison, three of which were suspended, by the Perpignan Criminal Court. Judged in immediate appearance, he was prosecuted for having hit two cars while he was rodeo in the town of Toulouges, a town in the Pyrénées-Orientales.

Before fleeing, he had drawn a weapon and fired several times in the air so as not to be pursued by the witnesses. No one had been injured.

Rifle, baseball bat, revolver…

On the basis of the testimonies collected, the Soler gendarmerie brigade arrested the man almost immediately. During the search of the vehicle, the soldiers found a shotgun and cartridges, a metal baseball bat, a brass knuckles and a shotgun.
