A wedding in the Belgian royal family is coming up: Princess Maria Laura, the niece of King Philippe, is getting married.

Princess Maria Laura (33) and William Isvy got engaged. The Belgian royal house announced this on Monday (December 27) on Instagram, among other things. To a post, in which two engagement photos of the couple in the countryside were published, the palace wrote: “The wedding will take place in the second half of 2022. Congratulations to the future bride and groom!”

Granddaughter of Albert II.

The second photo clearly shows the engagement ring with a blue stone set in diamonds. The bride-to-be wears a floral dress and smiles at the camera as her fiance and businessman William Isvy holds her in their arms.

Princess Maria Laura is the granddaughter of the former Belgian King Albert II (87) and niece of King Philippe (61). She is the daughter of Prince Lorenz (66) and Princess Astrid (59), the sister of King Philippe.
