Princess Kate surprises with her appearance

The Eurovision Song Contest is known for brilliant stage shows. But nobody expected this participant: Princess Kate opened the show.

The 67th Eurovision Song Contest started with a colorful spectacle on Saturday evening in Liverpool. At the start, last year’s ESC winners, the Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra, performed their winning entry “Stefania”. Tune in from the heart of Kiev and supported in a video by a host of British contributors including Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sam Ryder and Joss Stone.

But no one in the audience expected her: Suddenly Princess Kate also appeared in the clip. At the piano in Windsor Castle’s Crimson Drawing Room, she joined in with an instrumental version of the song. The Brit demonstrated her musical talent in a long royal blue dress with asymmetrical shoulders, large earrings and open hair styled in a side parting that fell in waves over her shoulders.
