On a visit to Bath and Bristol, Kate met several school students and chatted with them about mental health.

Even after the coronation of King Charles III. (74) and Queen Camilla (75) it does not calm down for the royals. Princess Kate (41), wife of heir to the throne Prince William (40), went to the English cities of Bristol and Bath on May 16. As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, she met students from St. Katherine’s School and paid a visit to the Dame Kelly Homes Trust.

The palace published impressions from Tuesday on the royal couple’s Twitter account. Kate can be seen there, among other things, in conversation with the students. “Thank you to the wonderful young women at St. Katherine’s School for speaking openly and honestly about their mental health and how the Dame Kelly Homes Trust has supported them,” it said in a tweet.

Top athletes work with young people

Two-time Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes (53) was of course there herself. The charity, named after her, connects young people with top athletes so that they can positively influence the future of young people. For example, the self-esteem of the boys and girls should be strengthened – or they should learn how to concentrate better on a task.

Dressed appropriately in a sporty yellow blazer, white pants and white sneakers, Kate got involved in a variant of the game of tic-tac-toe during the visit. Alongside the princess and Holmes was British TV personality Zara McDermott, 26, who is part of Kate’s Shaping Us campaign. Among other things, with this campaign by her “Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood”, Prince William’s wife wants to draw attention to how much early childhood development can influence people’s later lives.
