Next royal bad news just before Christmas: Timothy Laurence, Princess Anne’s husband, tested positive for Corona.

Sir Timothy Laurence (66), the husband of Princess Anne (71), has apparently tested positive for the corona virus. The British “Daily Mail” reports exclusively. The couple are these days in quarantine at their Gatcombe Park country estate in Gloucestershire, it said. If the report proves to be true, it would be another setback in the efforts of Princess Anne’s mother, Queen Elizabeth II (95), to spend Christmas with her family.

Recently, as in the previous year, the Queen had to abandon the tradition of traveling to her country estate in Sandringham for Christmas. Instead, she will spend the holidays in a small group at Windsor Castle, according to the alternative plan. However, according to the latest news, she will in all probability have to do without the company of Princess Anne and Sir Timothy Laurence. It will also be the first Christmas in 73 years that the Queen will have to celebrate without her husband, Prince Philip (1921-2021), who died in April.
