Heir to the throne receives prize from children’s show
Prince William will appear on BBC children’s show Blue Peter.

Great honor for Prince William! The BBC children’s program “Blue Peter” reveals its youngest winner: the heir to the British throne.
The episode featuring Prince William is scheduled to air on children’s channel CBBC from 5pm UK time (6pm CET) on Friday, October 13, as part of a special celebrating the show’s 65th anniversary. After the award presentation by presenter and magician Joel Mawhinney (26), he will show the prince his magical talent and perform a card trick, says the corresponding announcement on the BBC homepage.
Both William and the broadcasters BBC and CBBC have already posted a short excerpt from the program via Instagram. Later, William will actively help with the presentation of the “Big Badge Wall”, on which drawings and letters on the subject of nature and the environment can be seen.
Not the first “Blue Peter” honor for Prince William
The traditional “Blue Peter” pin has been awarded in different colors for six decades to children and adults who achieve extraordinary things or contribute to society. Since the late 1980s, environmental activities have been the focus of the show. Children who are committed to issues such as climate change, recycling, animal protection or the preservation of natural habitats are often honored.
For Prince William, it is not the first “Blue Peter” pin, which is made from recycled yogurt cups, in his life. In 2017, he and his wife, Princess Kate (41), received the award for their commitment to mental health. Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) has also already been honored. At his first award, William joked that when he got home he would immediately compare his needle with his grandmother’s.
