Almost no one noticed: Prince William attended a funeral and went (almost) unnoticed.
It must have cost Prince William (41) a lot of strength yesterday (April 18): 27 days after Princess Kate (42) told the public about her cancer diagnosis in an emotional video message, her husband resumed his royal duties. The 41-year-old was visiting a Surplus to Supper charity in Surrey, which campaigns against food waste.

But instead of recovering from the event and the stress that was certainly associated with it in many ways, the son of King Charles III. (75) look at an appointment again the next day. However, it was private in nature and therefore not made public by the palace.

It was an appointment that certainly once again cost the heir to the throne his strength – although this time not because he had to face the cameras and questions from journalists present, but because it was a particularly sad one: on Friday (April 19th) there was a Private memorial service for Major Mike Sadler (†103), a veteran and war hero who died in January, was held at Hereford Cathedral. The prince paid his last respects to the deceased with his presence. Even though it wasn’t an official appointment for the nobleman, it didn’t go unnoticed in the end. Several British media reported on this, and some also have photos.
The account “Your Herefordshire” shares a photo of the 41-year-old with another mourner in front of Hereford Cathedral on X (formerly Twitter).
The picture says in English: “Prince William visits Hereford Cathedral.” And further: “Prince William visited Hereford Cathedral this morning for the memorial service for former SAS navigator and intelligence officer Mike Sadler, who died in January.” SAS stands for Special Air Service, a special unit of the British Army during World War II.
