Prince George turns nine on Friday. There are also official congratulations from the Queen and his grandfather, Prince Charles.

Prince George celebrates his ninth birthday on July 22nd. There were probably no personal congratulations from his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II (96), but there were official ones. On the monarch’s Twitter account, who is already enjoying her summer break in Balmoral, Scotland, says a cake emoji: “We wish Prince George a happy 9th birthday!” The palace also shared a photo from the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June this year. The Queen, dressed in green, smiles proudly while Prince George looks at her admiringly next to her.

Also from his grandfather Prince Charles (73) George received Twitter congratulations. The new portrait of the birthday child can be seen on the account of the heir to the throne. George’s parents, Prince William (40) and Duchess Kate (40), had previously published this. “George turns 9!” They wrote about the photo, which hobby photographer Kate took herself. The young royal, who is third in line to the British throne, is pictured on a family beach holiday, grinning kindly for the camera. The future heir to the throne not only looks very similar to his father Prince William because of his light blue polo shirt.
