On the occasion of an anniversary episode, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla visited the set of the British series “EastEnders”.

Prince Charles (73) and Duchess Camilla (74) immersed themselves in the world of the British television series “EastEnders” and visited their set. From that reported the “Evening Standard”. A special jubilee episode was filmed beforehand at the BBC Elstree Center in Borehamwood in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee (95). After that, the royal couple got a tour and met the cast and crew of the soap opera.

Duchess Camilla met the deaf “EastEnders” actress Rose Ayling-Ellis (27) during the visit, the newspaper reports. The 27-year-old won “Strictly Come Dancing”, the British “Let’s Dance”, in 2021. Duchess Camilla not only congratulated her on her victory, but also revealed that she had voted for her. Ayling-Ellis therefore asked whether Queen Elizabeth II had also watched. To which Camilla reportedly replied, “I think she does. She probably saw you.”

While everyone involved in “EastEnders” lined up for a group photo with the royals, Prince Charles apparently had a big advantage. Letitia Dean, 54, reportedly told him: “You’re wearing a coat, very clever”, which is said to have caused the heir to the throne to take off his coat and put it around her shoulders. He was then rewarded with applause.

According to British media reports, Duchess Camilla also revealed that Gillian Taylforth (66) had seen the series earlier. However, you have to catch up on a few episodes. Queen Elizabeth II is also said to be a fan. She allegedly even had dinner postponed so she could finish watching an “EastEnders” episode.
