Surprising news from the Belgian Royals: Prince Amedeo (37) and his wife Princess Elisabetta (35) have become parents for the third time. The Belgian Archduke announced this on Instagram. A picture of the sleeping newborn can be seen on the account of the Belgian royal family. It said: “Prince Amedeo and Princess Elisabetta are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter Alix. She was born in Brussels on Saturday 2 September and weighs 3.4kg and is doing well like her mother.” Numerous congratulations from her followers can be found in the comments section.
Prince Amedeo and Princess Elisabetta have been married for nine years
Prince Amedeo, the eldest son of King Philippe’s (63) sister Princess Astrid (61), and Elisabetta “Lili” Rosboch von Wolkenstein have been married since 2014. The wedding took place in Rome, the homeland of the Italian. Daughter Anna Astrid was born on May 17, 2016. In September 2019, the couple announced the birth of their son Maximilian.
The couple lives a very secluded life
Although baby number three was born in Brussels, the family of five is supposed to live in Switzerland. Prince Amedeo and his wife are said to be very privacy conscious and lead a secluded life. The couple did not make it public that Princess Elisabetta was pregnant for the third time. Prince Amedeo started a career in business, including as a management consultant, and is said to be working at a bank.
Amedeo of Belgium is a grandson of former King Albert II (89). In 2013 he announced his abdication on July 21, the Belgian national holiday. Heir to the throne Philippe has been king of Belgium ever since. Amedeo is the son of Astrid of Belgium, sister of the reigning king. He is also the godfather of his cousin, heir to the throne Princess Elisabeth (21).
