Prince Albert II
Princess Charlène misses the family ball
A family celebration in the casino in Monte-Carlo: Prince Albert II dances exuberantly, but without his wife Charlène. She did this instead.
However, Albert’s wife, Princess Charlène (45), and their two children, the twins Princess Gabriella and Hereditary Prince Jacques (8), did not take part in the event on Saturday evening in the Monte Carlo Casino. Instead, Charlène cheered on her favorite rugby team from her native South Africa at the Stade de France in Paris. Pictures of this are shown, among other things, by “Paris Match”.
Dinner, auction and party
The representatives of the Monegasque royal family also beamed at the family celebration without her. While Albert and Louis appeared in elegant dark tuxedos with black bow ties, the women were covered from head to toe in glitter – Stephanie and Marie in light cream tones, Camille in the trendy color lilac.
As “Point de Vue” further reports, the 140 guests at the banquet enjoyed a six-course menu put together by Richard Rubbini. Wine from the cellars of the Hôtel de Paris was served. After dinner we continued to the after-party at the Monte Carlo Opera. The location is said to have been kept secret until the evening. While the party guests danced the night away, they were entertained by London-based singer Leona Lewis (38).
As the palace also announced on Instagram, “that evening, which took place in the atrium of the Casino de Monte-Carlo, donations were also collected for the association ‘Fight Aids Monaco’, founded in 2004 by Princess Stéphanie”. In this sense, five paintings came under the hammer at a charity auction.
Joint appearance at the beginning of the month
Prince Albert and Princess Charlène have been married for twelve years and have two children. They made their last public appearance together at the beginning of the month when they launched a new boat for the Monegasque maritime police together with his niece Charlotte Casiraghi (37). The inaugurated “Saint Georges Shuttle” is the newest member of the police fleet. It reaches a speed of 45 knots and will be used for sea rescues and other missions.
