Before the two candidates in the second round of France’s presidential election, Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen, met on Thursday evening at 9 p.m., all television stations had already declared ten times how many degrees the temperature in the studio was regulated to (19 degrees), how many Cameras recording the debate (20 cameras) and what a control room looks like (many screens). Little indicated that a political program was imminent, it looked more like an international football match.
