It has been announced that Daniel Alegre will step down as COO and President of Activision Blizzard next year. It has not yet been revealed who will be his successor.

As announced, President and Chief Operating Officer Daniel Alegre will not renew his contract with Activision Blizzard and will leave the publisher at the end of the current fiscal year 2022/2023 on March 31, 2023. Among the reasons that led to Alegre’s decision, it is said that he wants to embark on a search for new professional challenges.

The bottom line is that Daniel Alegre’s tenure at Activision Blizzard will be three years. Prior to his time with the “Call of Duty” and “World of Warcraft” makers, Alegre was employed by the internet giant Google for a period of around 16 years, where he held the post of President of Global Retail and Shopping, among other things.
