In the dispute over the future structure of Airbus Operations and Premium Aerotec, IG Metall has called for a warning strike and rallies at all locations on Friday. Work stoppages are planned, in some cases over several shifts, for example in Hamburg and Augsburg until the next morning, said IG Metall. There are rallies in Augsburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Stade and Varel. The main speakers will be IG Metall district manager Daniel Friedrich in Hamburg and IG Metall board member Jürgen Kerner in Augsburg. The union is calling for a social collective agreement which regulates the conditions for the workers affected by the restructuring. “We’re not getting anywhere at the negotiating table,” said Friedrich.
