Premiere of the Austrian cinema hit ‘Der Fuchs’ in Munich – Munich

When Adrian Goiginger presented “The Best of All Worlds” at the Berlinale in 2017, nobody could have guessed what kind of career the young Salzburg director would one day have. In his film he told of his own childhood as the son of an addicted mother, personally and very moving. The film won many prizes and became a hit with the public in Austria. After that it became quiet about Goiginger.

Last year he returned with the film adaptation of the theater play “Märzengrund”, now the next film will follow with “Der Fuchs”. Again it is about his family history, this time about his great-grandfather: He grew up on a mountain farm in the 1920s, the family was poor, so they sent the son into slavery to a large farmer. As a young man he becomes a soldier, fights in the Second World War – and finds an injured fox cub… In Austria the film is even more successful than Goiginger’s debut, in Germany it opens on April 13th. Before that, the director and his leading actor Simon Morzé are coming to Munich for the German premiere.
