Give me your kidney and I’ll tell you who you are. This is roughly how the test of couples and friendship can be outlined that the successful Austrian author Stefan Vogel faces his protagonists, two middle-aged married couples, in his play “Heart and Kidney” in the comedy at the Bayerischer Hof. Because what feels anything but fun for those affected after the diagnosis of “kidney insufficiency” is distilled into a tragicomic experimental setup under the direction of Martin Woelffer.
