No starting three for Jürgen Klopp (56) and Liverpool!
At Chelsea, the Reds get the start of the new 1-1 Premier League season. With Dominik Szoboszlai (22), who came from Leipzig for 70 million euros, and Alexis Mac Allister (24/for 42 million from Brighton), the ex-BVB coach is setting up his new midfield stars.
The latter is involved in the opening goal in his competitive debut for Liverpool!
18 minutes: Mac Allister sends Salah on the right wing. The Egyptian puts the ball perfectly into the path of Luis Diaz (26), who slides the ball in to take the lead. 1-0 to Liverpool!
A few minutes after the lead, Salah was celebrating himself. Alexander-Arnold sent him off like a dream and scored what was supposed to be 2-0. When played, however, he is very close to being offside, the VAR takes the goal back.
The deficit wakes up Chelsea! The Blues play their first competitive game under new coach Mauricio Pochettino (51) and have three newcomers in the starting XI.

37 minutes: After a clarified Chelsea corner, Fernandez crosses again, Chilwell extends his head and Axel Disasi (25) scores from five meters to make it 1-1. The London club had brought the French defender from Monaco just a week ago for 45 million euros.
Chelsea almost manage the double strike. Just two minutes later, Chilwell rounded Liverpool keeper Allison and pushed in to make it 2-1. But the left-back, like Salah on the other side, is just offside, so the goal doesn’t count either.
In the second round, Klopp caused a big stir himself! After 77 minutes he takes Salah off the pitch.
The offensive artist does not like that at all. Frustrated, the two-time African Footballer of the Year strips the tape from his hand, throws it away and doesn’t even look at Klopp as he leaves the pitch.
