It’s a difficult season for Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool FC. Already ten points are missing for a Champions League place. The coach is hoping for a home bonus against leaders Arsenal.

Liverpool are hoping for a surprise against leaders Arsenal in the fight for a Champions League spot. One piece of the puzzle could be the home strength of coach Jürgen Klopp’s team, which has only lost once at Anfield this Premier League season.

“I don’t know exactly what to say about us at the moment, the situation shows that. But it’s still Anfield, we’re at home. We have to react and improve and we’ll try to do that on Sunday.” said Klopp. “I have a good feeling.”

Liverpool are 29 points behind Arsenal in eighth place. It is already ten points behind a Champions League starting place. After the 4-1 debacle against England’s soccer champions Manchester City, there was a 0-0 draw against Chelsea on Tuesday. “Our main problem against Chelsea was that we had the ball and we gave it away. It was like pinball. If you analyze that, you think the computer is broken. It shouldn’t be like that. But I have the will and the passion fallen,” said Klopp, whose only home defeat was on October 29 (2-1 against Leeds United).

Klopp has respect for leaders Arsenal. “Arsenal deserve to be there. It’s a combination of really good football and extreme emotions,” Klopp said of the Londoners. The team is very well positioned, “there are also good transfers, a really stable team. That’s what they’re using now.”

Klopp is still without attacking player Luis Diaz, but the Colombian is back in training after suffering a serious knee injury and is expected to return against Leeds on April 17. Thiago, on the other hand, could already be an option against Arsenal.
