Starting Tuesday, Star Wars Jedi Survivor pre-orders can begin preloading the game. Players have to be prepared for a gigantic download: This should be almost 150 GB in size.
After EA 2019 the very successful action-adventure Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has published, the company wants to go with it next Friday Star Wars Jedi: Survivor finally launching a successor. From then on, players can slip back into the role of Jedi Cal Kestis and use their lightsaber to dismantle opponents into their individual parts. But before that happens, they have to clear one more hurdle – the gigantic download.
Preload from Tuesday
EA used to say that Jedi Survivor will need 130 GB of storage space. At the beginning of April, however, the system requirements were adjusted: the game should now occupy a whopping 155 GB. On the other hand, there were no changes to the rest of the hardware, the game still requires a Core i7-7700 or Ryzen 5 1400 and a GTX 1070 / RX 580.
On top of that, a decent internet connection is required to handle the gigantic download. So that pre-orderers can play the game at launch despite its size, there should be a preload. According to Steam, the game will be available to download from Tuesday at 5 p.m. The preload on the consoles will also start on the same day: they can start downloading from 6 p.m.

Many players will probably also need the lead time, because the download of Star Wars Jedi Survivor
is said to be only slightly smaller than the later space consumption. Specifically, the Twitter account @PlaystationSize claims that players have to download almost 150 GB for the Playstation 5 version. With a fully loaded 50 Mbit line, the preload of the game should take around 6.5 hours. Even after that, however, you are not safe from waiting times: EA will possibly deliver a day-one patch shortly after the release, which players will then have to download as well. Hopefully this will be much smaller.Source: Steam
