Less than a year after unveiling the S23 series, Samsung has unveiled the latest version of its flagship phones: the Galaxy S24. We check what the new models have and where they can be pre-ordered.
iPhone or Samsung – this is now something of a question of faith among cell phone users. With the new S24 series, Samsung is making its next attempt to attract more “disciples” to its side. The most important innovation: artificial intelligence. The aim is to outdo the competition from the USA with numerous AI functions.
Samsung Galaxy S24: Pre-order by January 30th
There are numerous pre-order promotions running until the official release of the S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra at the end of the month, which also offer attractive bonuses. Vodafone, for example, offers an exchange campaign: Anyone who exchanges their old device when buying an S24, S24+ or S24 Ultra will receive a bonus – up to 500 euros when buying the Ultra. Pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S24 from Amazon without a contract
If you don’t feel like signing a new cell phone contract and just want the device, you can take advantage of Amazon’s pre-order campaign. Here too there is a bonus for the old device – 150 euros when buying the Ultra, 100 euros for the S24+ and S24. Amazon also offers the larger storage variant at no extra charge, meaning: The S24 is available with 256 GB, the S24+ and the Ultra with up to 512 GB at no extra cost.

New features thanks to AI
Visually, the S24 smartphones hardly differ from their predecessors. Most noticeable change: The S24 Ultra now has a frame made of titanium instead of aluminum – for more robustness and a better feel, according to Samsung. The new artificial intelligence – Galaxy AI – is intended to clearly differentiate the S24 series from its predecessors. The AI offers, for example, live translation of conversations and phone calls or optimized photos. Additionally, it is now possible to remove objects from photos and search for them on Google simply by tagging them.
