Powder: On skis and snowboards through the white winter world

For many people, winter begins with the wait for the first snow. However, especially in this country, it tends to take a while to arrive if it shows up at all. For everyone who doesn’t want to miss out on the picturesque landscape covered in white snow despite the lack of snow so far, there is a new illustrated book.

The magic of the mountains in pictures

In “Powder. On boards and skis through the white world” readers go on a trip around the world and can explore the snowy places in Europe, America and Asia through the eyes of a winter sports enthusiast. The photos take place in peaceful mountain worlds, on adventurous ski slopes and under the northern lights or the night sky filled with stars.

“Nowhere else do I feel so free, so full of strength and so present as in the mountains – because everything is possible here,” writes American skier Lindsey Vonn in the foreword. “I feel most comfortable at the top. From there you have the best view – and it’s all downhill.” What can that look like? In our picture gallery we show you a small selection of the photos that appeared in the illustrated book.
