Postman disposed of 1000 letters in the bushes – Bavaria

Police officers had to collect more than 1000 letters in a bush in the Upper Palatinate. A 32-year-old mail carrier had simply thrown away the mail in Wenzenbach instead of distributing it, as a spokeswoman for the Regenstauf police station reported on Wednesday. The man’s motive was initially unclear. A jogger discovered the letters on her evening run last week and called the police. The letters that were picked up had all been delivered later, it said. Some of them were slightly damaged. Investigations were initiated against the 32-year-old on suspicion of violating postal and telecommunications secrecy.
