Lots of orders in online retail, fully packed parcel vans, high prices for international freight: Deutsche Post is a company in full swing during the Corona crisis and is expecting record profits this year. Is that luck or an expression of strategic ability? Post boss Frank Appel faces this question on the stage of the SZ economic summit. “I think it’s both,” says the 60-year-old, who has been at the helm of the former state-owned company since 2008 and is therefore one of the longest-serving Dax bosses.
