Popular holiday destinations: These are the most popular flight routes worldwide

A ranking by the travel analysis portal OAG reveals which are the most frequently flown routes in the world.
A distinction is made between domestic flights and international routes.
The Jeju International – Seoul Gimpo route ranks first in the list of domestic flights. With 224 aircraft a day and space for over 16 million passengers, it is by far the busiest route in the world.
With eight other flight routes in the top 10, Asian domestic routes can clearly win the ranking.
International routes are headed by the Cairo, Egypt to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia route.
On average, the route is frequented by 35 machines per day. The route offers 3,234,683 seats this year.
Second is the route between Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. The route accommodates 3,191,090 million people. The New York – London route came third with 2,848,044 seats.
