Comeback from July – Eva Briegel is studying psychology

The band gets together from time to time to write new songs together. But for her front lady, just being creative isn’t enough. She is studying and will soon be getting her bachelor’s degree.

The pop-rock band Juli, who were successful in the 2000s with songs like “Perfekte Welle” and “Geile Zeit”, are celebrating a small comeback with their new single “Fette Wilde Jahre”. “Even if I don’t release a record or play concerts with the band, there’s always music in my life. It gives me peace, I enjoy it and it’s just part of it,” said singer Eva Briegel (43) of the German Press Agency.

The musician from Hesse has met with the band again and again in recent years to write. She also sings in a choir and has studied psychology. “So that the beet does something other than just creative work. I found it totally relaxed to have something to do with math for my statistics exercises and to work scientifically. That is a good counterpoint to this often egocentric work in music.” She’s about to get her bachelor’s degree.

In their song released this Friday, the musicians from Gießen remember their past. “We’ve always tended to talk a lot about the past. We’ve just experienced so much together. It’s cheesy, but as you grow up you develop more and more gratitude and appreciate things more,” said guitarist Jonas Pfetzing (41 ).

The five-piece band released their last album Insel in 2014. Three years ago they released the single “Fahrrad”. In the coming year there will be a new album and a tour.
