Anne Sila beats iron while it is hot. Less than a week after his victory in The Voice All Stars, the 31-year-old singer delivers her new album this Friday, To our hearts. An exit planned for several weeks, before the outcome of the telecrochet of TF1 is known.
In seventeen titles, including two interludes, this third opus gives to hear a broad vocal and emotional palette of the artist, even if it means losing coherence. “An explosion of sounds without borders”, promotes the press release to justify that we go from the malicious fable (I waited for spring) in the pop duo with Matt Simons (Even if it hurts, used as a single), then to the jazz of a Tender card English-speaking after the ballad To our hearts, giving its title to the album.
“Anne at the heart”
On this subject, Anne Sila confided on Sunday to 20 minutes that she meant “toast”, but that when she talked about it, people understood “Anne at heart”. “Perhaps, without realizing it, it is ‘at the heart of me’”, suggested the Lacanian in spite of herself.
This song corresponds to the sensitive register that befits the thirties so well. “Behind the mirror, nobody knows how dark it is”
The singer signs or co-signs ten of the songs on the disc. The one who opens the album, Behind the mirror, is by Clotilde Maïnetti. It’s hard not to think about the tragedy she experienced in May 2014. Her then-companion had stabbed her twenty times. A year later, she took the stage of The Voice. During his participation in the edition all stars, she claimed that the show “saved her life”.
