6:26 p.m .: Update in Brittany

This is unprecedented: never in France had five lists clashed in a second round of regional elections in France. Brittany shares this record this Sunday with New Aquitaine. The PS president of the region, Loïg Chesnais-Girard, who came first with 21% in the first round, snubbed the EELV list (14.8%) to merge with the various environmentalists list of Daniel Cueff (6.5%).

Risky: even if the PS seems well placed to win, it takes 33% of the vote in the second round to be sure of having an absolute majority in the regional council. That will be one of the challenges of the evening. Beyond the PS-DVE and EELV lists, there is in this second round an LR list (16.3%), an LREM list (15.5%) and an RN list (14.3%).
