The police in Lower Franconia stopped two eight-year-old girls on an excursion on a quad bike. The two friends were traveling in the vehicle on a cycle path near Bad Königshofen (Rhön-Grabfeld district) when they were stopped by the officers, the police said on Monday.
The eight-year-old driver told investigators on Friday that her parents had allowed the trip on the quad, which was capable of speeds of up to 25 kilometers per hour. The parents of the young driver now have to prepare for proceedings regarding authorization to drive without a license.
