Police save fugitive from drowning – Bavaria

While fleeing a traffic check, a motorcyclist almost drowned in a construction water pit – a police officer saved him. A patrol wanted to control the 20-year-old in the night from Monday to Tuesday in Nördlingen in the Bavarian district of Swabia, the police said. However, the motorcyclist ignored the officials’ signals and tried to flee via dirt roads and meadows. Suddenly the man was gone. A short time later, the police found him in a construction water pit where he was in danger of drowning. One of the officers jumped into the six-foot-deep waterhole and pulled out the 20-year-old, who injured his ankle.
