Police operation in Unterschleißheim: Neighborhood dispute over shoveling snow – Munich

A neighborhood dispute led to a major police operation in Unterschleißheim on Saturday. More than 30 officers arrived in 15 vehicles after a woman called 110.

The 65-year-old woman called around 8:15 p.m. and reported that her partner, the same age, had been threatened with a gun by her neighbor. The officers found the neighbor, a 34-year-old man, at home; he was held as a suspect. The house was searched, but no firearm was found.

As it progressed, it became clear that a neighborhood dispute had been simmering between the parties for some time. That evening it had arisen from a dispute about shoveling the snow-covered, shared property entrance.

But the story didn’t end there: During the investigation, it emerged that the 65-year-old man may also have threatened the 34-year-old with a wooden handle. Now both men have been charged with threatening behavior.
