Police murder at Kusel: the main defendant is not very credible

Andreas S. has been on trial since today for allegedly shooting two police officers. He tries to blame his alleged accomplice. But the known facts speak against him.

In Germany, of course, the presumption of innocence also applies to a man who is said to have shot two people. Even if he – as can be inferred from the indictment that was read out today during the trial of the police murders near Kusel – is said to have literally executed them, including shooting them in the head at close range and all this just to cover up his poaching. The presumption of innocence also applies. This must not be forgotten. Nevertheless, the strategy that the main defendant Andreas S. and his defense lawyer revealed today seems like a last-ditch attempt to somehow get out of a situation from which there is no way out.
