A disoriented beaver briefly blocked a district road in Upper Franconia. When trying to catch the animal, it fled into nearby bushes, police said on Wednesday. Several police officers and helpers from the Coburg nature and animal protection association caught the animal with the help of a dog box near Lautertal (Coburg district). The beaver was then released at a suitable spot on the Lauter river. The district road was then reopened to traffic, it said.
