Police get spam mail about millions in heritage – Bavaria

An inheritance in the millions – and the lucky heir is said to be a police station in the Upper Palatinate. A fraudulent email reached the officials from Amberg on Monday: A businessman died in 2017 and left 16.2 million pounds. According to police statements on Tuesday, the sender wrote in bad German that you only had to give out “various contact details”. Then you would get 45 percent of the inheritance – about 8.5 million euros. The police are now trying to find out the sender via the e-mail provider. But that is unfortunately not very promising, said a spokesman.
