Police find Lewandowski’s watch, stolen from Camp Nou during autograph session

Polish footballer Robert Lewandowski, new star recruit of FC Barcelona, had his watch stolen as he came to train and signed autographs at the entrance to the Spanish club’s stadium, police told AFP who recovered the object shortly afterwards.

The facts took place on Thursday afternoon when the 33-year-old striker, transferred in mid-July from German club Bayern Munich, arrived by car at Camp Nou and stopped in front of fans for autographs, detailed the “Mossos d’Esquadra”, the Catalan police. A young man then approached and stole the watch from the player’s wrist.

The boy was hiding in the bushes

Warned in the afternoon, the police got their hands in less than an hour on the 19-year-old who still had the watch with him and who was hiding in the bushes near the stadium. He was arrested for “robbery with violence”, explained the police, because even if the player was not abused, the fact that the watch was removed from his body motivates this qualification.
