Nicknamed the “king of beauty” for having escaped from prison twice, Antonio Ferrara was released in July 2022 from Réau prison (Seine-et-Marne) after having finished serving his sentence.

Born October 12, 1973 in the south of Italy, settled with his family in Choisy-le-Roi (Val-de-Marne), Antonio Ferrara was convicted of robberies and attempted murder, as well as for his two escapes. On the other hand, he was acquitted in three cases of robbery of armored vans in 2009 and of a post office in 2012.

Two escapes

Antonio Ferrara first escaped from Fleury-Mérogis prison (Essonne) in 1998 during a transfer to hospital, then enjoying a long run until 2002.

On March 12, 2003, he escaped from Fresnes prison (Val-de-Marne) with the help of accomplices disguised as police officers, who attacked the establishment with a rocket launcher. It will be resumed four months later.
