Police catch speeders: driving at 138 km/h on Ingolstädter Straße – Munich

A 19-year-old driver who was stopped on Ingolstädter Straße on Saturday night was more than 80 kilometers per hour too fast.

At around 12:45 a.m., police officers used a laser gun to measure the speeds of passing cars and caught an Audi A6 that was traveling into the city at 138 km/h instead of the permitted 50. He was pulled over and cited for speeding.

The driver can now expect two points in Flensburg and a driving ban of up to three months. Because of the excessive speed, the authorities assume that the act was intentional – which is why the fine can be up to 1,600 euros. Since the novice driver was still on his driving license probationary period, this will probably be extended. There were no indications of alcohol or drug consumption.
