Police ban “Palestine Congress” in Berlin – this is how it came about

Before it really got started, it was over again: the police banned the “Palestine Congress” in Berlin on Friday evening – that’s how it came about.

Germaniastrasse leads through a desolate commercial area near the city highway, container rentals and car repair shops are lined up, trucks thunder past. In this Germaniastrasse, named after the female figure who is said to embody the German nation in statues and paintings, hundreds of people want to put Germany on trial. “We accuse” was the motto under which the “Palestine Congress” was called. The accusation: Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians – and Germany is complicit.
