The local elections in Poland are a confirmation of the parliamentary elections in October 2023. The two messages: PiS is still there and still strong. But Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s coalition is stronger. If you add up all the votes cast for mayors, local councilors and regional representatives and assign them to the parties, then PiS remains in first place with slight losses and Tusk’s party in second place with slight gains. His government partners have lost something, but overall they remain stronger than PiS.
