Pokémon Go: Super Community Day in December 2023

In Pokémon Go there is at least the obligatory Community Day every month. Every other month we celebrate a Community Classic in Pokémon Go, i.e. an old Community Day. This should make you happy, because it gives you the chance to catch powerful Pokémon such as Ampharos (Community Day Classic in November 2023). The big gathering of all Community Day Pokémon will take place in December. Pokémon that celebrated a Community Day in the past will appear on two consecutive days

Pokémon in the wild

The following Pokémon appear on December 16, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m (local time) more common in the wild:

  • eF-eM (+), Flegmon (+) and Galar-Flegmon (+), Togetic (+), Igamaro (+),Quiekel (+), Fynx (+), Milza (+), Shiggy (+), Quapsel (+), Froxy (+), Charmander (+), Mabula (+), Praktibalk (+), Felino and Paldea-Felino, and Voltilamm (+)

The following Pokémon appear on December 17, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m (local time) more often in the wild

  • Quapsel (+), Felino (+) and Paldea-Felino (+), Praktibalk (+), Froxy (+) and Mabula (+)

With a bit of luck you can both days between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. (local time) you will encounter the following Pokémon:

  • Gluamanda, Shiggy (+), Voltilamm (+), Quiekel (+) and Larvitar (+)

Exclusive instant attacks and charged attacks

Every Community Day Pokémon can learn exclusive moves. Remember that you can only evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna on the full moon!!

Applies to all Pokémon except Ursaluna: If you evolve the Pokémon to the final level between December 16, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. and December 17, 2023 until 9:00 p.m. (local time), the Pokémon will learn their exclusive attacks. Before and after, you must use top instant TMs or top charging TMs.

This applies to Ursaluna: The Pokémon can only learn its attack if you evolve the Pokémon at the right time. The full moon will be in the sky on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to December 17, 2023 at 6:00 a.m. (local time). The full moon will also be visible in the sky on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Only within this period will Ursaluna learn its exclusive attack during evolution.

Special research for Community Day

For around 1 euro you can purchase a ticket for exclusive special research in the Pokémon Go in-game shop. The ticket will be available shortly before Community Day in December 2023.

If you want to play the two-day Community Day event with your friends, you can make them happy by giving the ticket as a gift. To do this, tap the “Gift” button and select the person from your friends list to whom you want to give the ticket. You must have reached at least the “Super Friends” level!

Free temporary research

During the event you can take part in free temporary research. For completing the research you will receive items such as King Stones and Magnetic Lure Modules – these items are necessary to develop some Pokémon. You can also meet Pokémon that celebrated Community Days in 2022 and 2023.

Field research

During the event, you can obtain special Field Research by spinning PokéStops’ photo discs. If you complete the field research, you can meet Pokémon that celebrated a Community Day in 2023.

Stickers

On the Community Days in December 2023 you can receive all stickers that were available during the respective Community Days in the same year.

PokéStop Showcases

You can take part in showcases at various PokéStops. Send out your best Pokémon to secure first place. Pokémon that celebrated a Community Day in 2023 will be admitted to showcases.
