Pointer to the future – Bavaria

According to the Bavarian State Government, artificial intelligence is increasingly shaping our daily lives. Whether in customer communication, in modern production technology, in the intelligent maintenance of technical systems as well as in fleet management or logistics – the fields of application of this technology are almost unlimited. As is well known, the state government prides itself on having launched a nationwide unique program with the High-Tech Agenda Bavaria, which underlines the leading role of the state in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). Apparently, they now want to expand this role further. The “AI.BAY 2023” congress, organized on behalf of the state government, was opened on Thursday. It is intended to provide a new forum for the Bavarian AI community and international AI experts. Among the first visitors was Bavaria’s Science Minister Markus Blume (CSU). He looked at the robots at the Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MIRMI) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), obviously with due caution. According to the announcement, the topics of the two-day conference range from the influence of artificial intelligence on our everyday life and its effects on the economy to the potential of AI in solving social and ecological challenges.
