Poinger police officers rescue injured stork – Ebersberg

The Poinger police have now lived up to their reputation as friends and helpers. This time, however, it was not a person who got into an emergency situation, but a stork. A driver informed the officials last Sunday because he had discovered the apparently injured animal in the ditch next to the airport ring road near Anzing. A police patrol determined that the stork had probably broken its wing and could no longer fly on its own.

However, with the help of a hunting tenant, the animal was carefully caught and transported to the patrol car. The officials then drove the stork to the bird clinic in Oberschleißheim for veterinary treatment.
