The barrier-free expansion of the Poingen train station was only completed at the end of September, and less than three months later there was criticism of the result in the community. Accordingly, the two platforms, especially the one in the direction of Munich, are too narrow – the risk of accidents is accordingly too high. According to the railway, however, “all applicable safety requirements and regulations” are being met. Small glimmer of hope: If, as announced in the summer, the line is extended by two tracks, the station would have to be demolished and rebuilt anyway.
