Richard Wagner’s four-part opera “The Ring of the Nibelung” is a treasure trove for every criminal lawyer. First Alberich steals the gold from the Rhinemaidens, then Wotan takes it from him, reluctantly paying the two giants for their building work with it, one killing the other: the first murder.
