“Planète rap” arrives on TV…but in the third part of the evening

Rap “more than underrepresented”? The most listened to music in France, rap had not yet had the honors of the small screen. Or at least not regularly. Now it’s done. Skyrock’s “Planète rap” show, launched in 1996, is coming to TV, starting this Friday evening on France 2.

The concept remains the same. Host Fred Musa will be in charge for an hour to present current news, interview the artists or introduce viewers to their world.

“The challenge is to interest people and inform them about the music most listened to by their children and their grandchildren,” confided Fred Musa to Parisian.

The show will air every Friday at midnight. The first will be dedicated to the Cape Verdean singer Ronisia, new R’n’B star.
