Women are on the advance in the Planegger town hall administration: After two new management positions have been filled, five out of six office manager positions are now occupied by women, around two thirds of all employees in the town hall are women. At the introduction of the new treasurer Katharina Gaspers and the new head of HR, Martina Männig, Mayor Hermann Nafziger (CSU) said: “It is a great pleasure for me to welcome two committed and capable women to our team of officers.” Managing director Stefan Schaudig emphasized that there had certainly been applications from men. The decisive factor was “the ability”.

The new chamberlain has major tasks ahead of him: not only will she be measured against her popular predecessor Peter Vogel – he is currently in partial retirement and will be leaving Planegg in a few months – but also because the pandemic may also have changed Planegg’s economic situation . The community has been debt-free in the past few decades, it is questionable whether it can stay that way. The 52-year-old business economist Gaspers has a very positive attitude: “At the moment it looks good. We have no business tax drops and are well positioned.” The mother of three adult children lives in Eresing and most recently worked in the Starnberg District Office. Before that, she worked for many years at the Institute for Communal Data Processing Bavaria (AKDB) as a customer advisor and thus gained deep insights into the administration of municipalities through her consulting work. Gaspers describes herself as an “optimist” and she must be in view of the major developments in the coming years, such as the development plans that are to regulate the area at the station or the upcoming underground construction. Their motto, very similar to their predecessor: “Planegg should stay solid.”

The second member of the group, Martina Männig, has been HR manager for more than 200 town hall employees since June 15. The 54-year-old from Planegger was previously HR manager at a financial service provider in Munich. The certified HR manager – HR stands for Human Resources – has been working in human resources since 2006. If you ask Männig what personnel management means in an environment like the Planegger town hall, she laughs: “It’s very similar to that in any company, for example in a bank. We want to motivate our employees, everyone should work together.” It is important to her that the question of how the employee is doing is constantly present. The job, says the mother of two grown children, is “ideal” for her: “I like to get to know people.”

By the way, Männig and Gaspers can only find good words for their new job: “We were welcomed in a very friendly way, the cooperation is great.” “In the short time I have grown very fond of Planegg,” adds Gaspers, praising the “regular exchange between the heads of office”.
