Flying in Europe is often cheaper than traveling by train. This is a problem, especially for the climate. Time for a commission that sorts ideas: with scientists – and with activists.

It is about 750 kilometers from Cologne to Salzburg and from Berlin to Brussels. Not around the corner, but not a trip around the world either. You could take the train there. But it is very expensive, often significantly more expensive than low-cost airlines that also serve these routes. This is what a price comparison done by Greenpeace showed.
