Plane crash near Bamberg – 61-year-old pilot dead – Bavaria

The Bamberg-Breitenau airfield is located on the outskirts of the city near Autobahn 73.

The 61-year-old was taken to hospital in a rescue helicopter after being rescued from the wreckage. According to a spokesman, there were no other people on the plane. According to police estimates, the Cessna suffered damage of around 200,000 euros.
