More than a third. This is one of the figures that particularly stands out in the police crime statistics (PKS) for the year 2022, which the Federal Ministry of the Interior has now presented. The number of suspected children, i.e. those under the age of 14, has increased by 35.5 percent compared to the previous year. After a decline in 2020, which was probably also due to the pandemic, there was an increase of almost ten percent last year. But this time the level is even significantly higher than before Corona.
