On closer inspection, it appears to consist of three levels. First the display glass, which goes beyond the edge and at the same time forms the frame. Below this is a ring made of stainless steel or aluminium.

Google seems to have planned its own bracelet connections for the Pixel Watch here. That reminds of them apple watchin which only compatible bracelets can be used.
Accidentally left behind or promotion?
When switched on, the watch only displayed the characteristic Google “G”. According to the finders, no other functions were available. The find offers new insights and also raises a question. Was this prototype left behind accidentally or on purpose? The timing is suspicious.
The incident is somewhat reminiscent of finding a Pixel 3 a few years ago. To report according to a tester had forgotten the XL version of the phone in a taxi.
