Most know him as the singer of rock pop songs like “Summer of 69”, which are broadcast on every format radio in the world. But Bryan Adams has long had a second career as a successful photographer. His works have been shown in numerous exhibitions, and in 2006 he was also awarded the LeadAward.
This year he is following in the footsteps of some of the greatest photo artists of all time, including Helmut Newton, Karl Lagerfeld, Peter Lindbergh and Annie Leibovitz: Bryan Adams was entrusted with the Pirelli 2022 calendar. And with the present work he combined his two passions: photography and music.
The motto of the collection is “On the Road”; the Canadian has only chosen musicians as models. They are presented in situations that should stand for life on tour. There are currently popular pop stars such as Grimes, St. Vincent, Rita Ora, the Colombian-born singer Kali Uchis, Saweetie and Normani.

Adams has also hired established artists, such as the singer and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson or Cher, who at 75 proves that you can still make a first-class model when you are old. But above all there are men again this time. This is how Iggy Pop presents his astral body, and rapper Bohan Phoenix gets on a grand piano.
In December, the foreman appears in person: Bryan Adams is barely recognizable, posing in the dark, wrapped in a cloud of fog, only illuminated by a car headlight.
The recordings were made in just three days this summer, the shoots took place in Los Angeles and on Capri. The Pirelli calendar was first published in 1964. The world has changed fundamentally since then. But one thing has remained: You cannot buy it. As usual, the tire manufacturer is giving it away to selected people. Everyone else has to be content with this photo series.
